In the first 5 seconds of viewing these videos, you will instantly know I am not a paid, professional actor.
Still, I hope the information presented is concise and complete and gives you a better understanding of the Dyson vacuum cleaner features and benefits. If you have any comments or a particular video you’d like to see, feel free to leave a comment and request it.
Dyson Animal vs. Kirby Heritage: I vacuum an area with a Kirby Heritage II and then go over the same area with the Dyson.
Dyson Crevice Tool: I show the crevice tool in detail (you’ll see why in the video) and then go on to vacuum some shear drapes using the crevice too without worrying about sucking the drapes into the tool.
Dyson DC07 Extension Handle: The handle on the DC07 models is a little different than all the other models. I’ll show you the DC07 handle in detail.
Cleaning the Dyson Rollers: This may seem like a simple (but sometimes gross) process on every vacuum but Dyson has designed the rollers sp this is a snap. The belt is designed so no hair gets trapped underneath.
Cleaning the Hepa Filter & Clogs: Cleaning the lifetime hepa filter on the Dyson and how to clear any obstructions.
Dyson Small Attachments: This video will review the Dyson small attachments and highlight some of the features and benefits of each.
Dyson Animal vs. Hoover Windtunnel: I vacuum an area with a Hoover Windtunnel and then go over the same area with the Dyson.
Trying to Use The Hoover Turbo Brush: It was always very frustrating to use the Hoover Turbo brush with the way the vacuum is designed. Find out why.

Just a quick thank you for the wonderful videos on your site. I bought
a Dyson DC07 Low Reach a few days ago which will arrive today.
Watching your videos has given me a greater understanding of the
device something the actual Dyson site didn’t manage to convey.
Again thanks
I have watched your videos over and over I love it. Just one thing why don’t you do a video test the Oreck against the Dyson. I just have to get my mother to watch your video and I think she might get one.
Hi Edward. Thanks for the compliments!
I would love to do a video comparing the Oreck to a Dyson but the Oreck did not last long in our house before I got rid of it.
I haven’t come across anyone who has one that might be willing to let me borrow it for a test either.
I’ll keep looking. Randy

hi,I just want to say that these videos are great! I am a 11 year old who is very intrested in vacuums. And since i passed my eogs, my mom is going to to get me a dyson dc07. thanks for making these videos so i can learn how to use it and keep it in the best shape.
hi i love your videos. im a 12 year old and love vacuums.i have used vacuums from hoovers to kirby. when i get my dyson for christmas which will be the dc15 ball full kit or stowaway ill put it to the test.
Thanks for putting in the time and effort for all of the reviews and comparison videos. By the videos alone, i have almost 5 more people talked into buying a dyson. Most everyone is a pet owner and bagged systems just dont do the job anymore. My wife and I are looking at picking up a DC15 an a month or so. Thanks again!
HI Randy.
Im sorry to say that you refer to the HEPA filter on the side of the dc07 animal. THIS IS NOT THE HEPA FILTER.
THE HEPA FILTER is located under the slatted circle under the waste cylinder and cyclone unit. THE HEPA FILTER sits on top of the motor.
THE FILTER ON THE side of the dc07 animal, is mearly the pre-motor filter to stop debris entering the motor.
Also when washing the pre-motor filter, I find getting the shower head into the yellow filter holder to blast away the crap. BUT I have been told NOT to use soap when washing the foam, JUST warm water.
I would like to say that I have never let my dyson get into the state that is seen on your videos (such as all the stuff stuck round the roller). I need the ‘Animal’ as I have 4 cats and 2 dogs, plus 2 people in the household.
I am 18 y/o and have been working on Dysons and all makes of vacuums for years. I have in my collection;
Dyson DC01 Absolute
Dyson DC04i
Dyson DC05 Absolute+Turbobrush
Dyson DC05 MOTORHEAD
Dyson DC07 Animal
Dyson DC08 S/Y
Dyson DC08 Tool Kit
HOPE THIS HELPS> please feel free to email me on

I have had a Dyson for about 5 years now and I have learned so much about it by reading and watching your info. Thanks so much!! The only real complaint I have about Dyson, is that they don’t do a better job of educating their customers. (I lost the manual years ago.) Thanks again!
Hi
Great videos! I am currently doing research to replace my Electrolux canister vacuum. I used to sell Elecroluxes and I recognize the selling tool of vacuuming with the Kirby and then showing all the dirt you picked up with the Dyson on the same peice of carpet. What I would like to see is you revacuum over the same carpet (after the Dyson) with a clean bag in the Kirby and then rib the bag open and show us what is inside. I think you will find that the Dyson will leave things on the carpet. We used to use the same demo with the lux.It would impress people every time. But truth be told if you vacuumed over the area a third time your vacuum of choice would still pick something up.
I think the truth is something like all vacuums leave dirt. Otherwise why would your family room after being vacuumed with your Dyson ( prior to your “test”) then vacuumed with the Kirby during the “test” have so much dirt left behind? In other words what was in the NEW bag of the Kirby?
Thank you for your help!
Deb
My parents just bought the Dyson Animal Sweeper. It is amazing just after 1 cleaning how good it picked up the dirt in the carpet. We have a dog & the carpets are 100% cleaner. Way to go Dyson!! Glad we bought it.
